Eurostar Music Festival

The challenge: Eurostar was creating a music festival in London, bringing together some of the most exciting talent from key European cities. Called Traction, it took place in London and was curated by legendary DJ, record label owner and all-round good bloke, Gilles Peterson. Our job was to create a series of films to promote it, for use on a microsite at the Guardian.

The solution: Working to a brief from Seven Publishing, we created three films, featuring three musicians who were appearing at Traction – each showing us around their favourite cities. Every film was a personal recommendation from the artist on where to go and what to check out in the city – showing just how easy it is to get to these places with Eurostar.

It was all very editorial in its look and feel – and we’re now experts on what’s hot in Cologne, Amsterdam and Paris…

The result: The films created a huge buzz around the festival (which was a sell-out), not to mention the cities themselves. What’s more, Eurostar increased bookings to the cities we featured.
